This anthology was published by Rabbi Yisrael Chaim Ackerman Rabbi of Niemce, who called himself: "A young man sent out of Russia by Russian Government¦ and I have settled here in Berlin¦". Printed in this anthology are responsa of that generation's leading Torah scholars from many countries (primarily from Galicia, Germany and Hungary), responsa of Rabbi Yitzchak Elchonon Spector of Kovna, Rabbi Ezriel Hildesheimer of Berlin, Rabbi Feivel Ploit Rabbi of Shoran, Rabbi David Zvi Hoffman, Rabbi Yehoshua Goldberg of Ichenhausen etc.

Our master Rabbi Shalom Shakhna, son of Rabbi Avraham of Copenhagen, 1827". Portrait photo in lithographic print, with printed signature of the artist M. Mendel. Copenhagen (Denmark), 1827. The photograph features the rabbi during a sermon he gave for Parashat Va-Yechi, with his name written on the podium. Rabbi Shalom Shakhna served as"apprentice rabbi" under his father Rabbi Avraham son of Rabbi Gedaliah who filled the Copenhagen rabbinical office for 36 years and passed away during Fall 1827.

Rabbi Baruch Ber traveled to the US at the end of the 1920s, to cover the expenses of Kaminetz Yeshiva, and stayed there for two years. Apparently, the photograph was taken at that time.
