Alfred Bernheim, three photographs of the Hebrew University (one is printed on a postcard and stamped “Exhibition of the Decade”) and a portrait photograph (pencil-signed, with the original cardboard cover). Alfred Bernheim (1885-1974) – Artist photographer, specialized in architecture and portrait photography. Documented the work of architect Erich Mendelsohn through his photographs and took numerous photographs of the Jewish cultural and political elite. Average size 11.5x16.5cm. Good, varying condition.

Thirty-two high quality black and white photographs. Taken by various photographers, 1960s-70s.
Most of the photographs feature petrochemical plants in the Haifa Bay area, foundries and Vulkan Factory facilities (10 photographs relate to other topics). Many of the photos were taken by photographer Moshe Gross (born in 1952), owner of the “Keren-Or” studio for practical technical photography in Haifa, who – along with his father and his son – documented with his camera many of Israel’s infrastructure projects, industrial plants and architectural projects. Also included are photographs of the “Sollel-Boneh Photo Lab” by photographer Amiram Erev, who was active in the field of technical photography, industrial and commercial photography and who worked for Sollel-Boneh for many years. Additional photos by: Avital Abulafia, Oscar Tauber, “Photo Fuks”. Varying sizes, good condition.

Meir Har Zion (born 1934) – One of the fighters of the mythical "Unit 101" commando unit and one of the heroes of the Retribution Operation in the 1950s; a founder of the Parachute Commando Unit and its first Commander; won the Israeli Medal of Courage. 6x8.5cm. Good condition. Paper and glue residue on the back.

Robert Capa, 3 photographs featuring General David (Mickey) Marcus, [1948].
Capa (1913-1954) – American photographer of Jewish-Hungarian descent. Arrived in Israel in 1948 where he documented the War of Independence and the State Proclamation ceremony. Considered the most famous war photographer of the 20th century, experiencing five different wars.
Marcus (1902-1948) – The IDF’s first general. He came to Israel during the War of Independence as a member of Machal to contribute his military experience as a colonel in the US army. Marcus was killed hours before the beginning of the first cease-fire, accidentally shot to death by an IDF sentry.
The verso of one photograph is hand-signed by Robert Capa, with a pen and ink-stamped “Photograph by PM” and a pencil description stating “Marcus”, apparently in Capa’s handwriting; another photo bears the same ink-stamp on the back and a pencil description as mentioned above; the third photograph is neither signed nor described. 20.5x25cm. Good condition, few stains and wrinkles. Two photographs are staple-marked.
