Twenty-five advertising posters for films and plays in Israeli cinemas and theatres, 1960s and 1970s. Amongst them: HaGashash Festival, Life is not a Honeymoon (with Gadi Yagil and Chana Laslau), Ariana, The Rooster (with Chaim Topol), Day of Revenge (with Lee Van Cleef), Paul Newman and his Gang, and others. 18 posters size 70x100cm, five size 50x70cm and two size 35x50cm. Good condition, varied. Tears and creases to margins.

Life According to Agfa, a film by Assi Dayan (script and direction). Large advertisement poster printed on cardboard. [1992].
"Life According to Agfa" was released in the summer of 1992 and is considered one of the most important and successful films by Dayan. The film reflects Israeli reality during the first Intifada, through an evening in a Tel Aviv pub. The plot expresses the conflicts that exist in Israeli society, mainly those concerning the Israeli-Arab conflict. The violent and apocalyptic ending serves as a pessimistic prophecy as far as the future of Israel is concerned. Actors: Gila Almagor, Shuli Rand, Dany Litani, Sharon Alexander and others. The film won nine Ophir prizes (the Israeli Oscar) and was a candidate for the Golden Bear award at the Berlin Film Festival, where Dayan won a citation for his direction. 100x70cm. Good condition. Slight damages, mainly to the borders.

Apparently, the photographs were mean to be used for advertising purposes. Two are signed on the back with the stamp of the photographer, J. Agor. 18x24cm. Very good condition.

Side A includes the song Kol Echad, sung by Pupik Arnon and Miki Gavrielov, arranged and accompaniedby The Churchills. Side B includes the song Harei HaChoshech, sung by Pupik Arnon and Robb Huxley, arranged and accompaniedby The Churchills. Mordechai (Pupik) Arnon (b. 1943) was an Israeli singer and actor. He served in the IDF Nachal Troupe and acted in the films Eldourado, Salach Shabbati and Shnei Konei Lemel. A short while after appearing in the films Shablul and Metzitzim, Arnon became born-again ultra-orthodox Jew and did not appear on stage again. Good condition, includes original cover, tears to upper margins.

The Bimot Theater presents: Hava Alberstein Solo, accompanied by an orchestra, [early 70s]. A live show at the Teacher’s Federation Building. Stage director, designer and costume manager: Tzaddok [Tzadi] Tzarfati (his early work as stage manager revolved around this show), musical adaptation and direction by Alex Weiss.
