Passover Haggada, "with a nice commentary and nice illustration of the wonders… and in addition [a map at the end of the book] the travels in the desert until the Land was distributed to the tribes of Israel and a sketch of the Beit Hamikdash… engraved into copper plates by the young man Avram Bar Ya'akov from the family of Avraham Avinu". Amsterdam, 1695. Two title-pages, the first is illustrated.
This haggada, illustrated by the artist Avraham (a German priest of the Reine region who reached Amsterdam and converted), is the first haggada illustrated by copper engravings, and one of the first Hebrew books illustrated using this printing technique, "to engrave and form by manual engraving in copper, whereas previously designs were etched in wood… as beautiful as possible". This edition was a model for many other haggadot printed after it, whether with a map attached or with the imitation of its illustrations (according to an article by Prof. B. Roth, The Illustrated Haggada in Printing, Areshet, 1961, pages 22-25 – see attached photocopy).

26 leaves from the “Zevah Pesah” which includes the text of the Passover haggada and a commentary on the Haggadah by Rabbi Don Yitzchak Abarbanel, author of the Abarbanel biblical commentary.
This commentary of his was originally printed with his books “Rosh Amana” and “Nachalat Avot” in Constantinople in 1505, with a detailed colophon at the end of the third volume “those great essays were completed… and their completion was on Thursday, Kislev 9th, 1505, in Constantinople…”. The text of the Haggadah is not punctuated.
On some of the leaves’ margins, there are remarks on the commentary in antique Yemenite handwriting (signed at the beginning with initials).
Incomplete copy. The original has [40] leaves and the present copy has 26 leaves. (leaves [13-39], except leaf [34]), 26.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains. Light tears, some of which were restored a long time ago. Damages affecting the text on the first leaf. Antique parchment spine.

Chevel Bnei Yehudah, commentary on the Passover Haggadah [with the text], Rabbi Shimon Chavilio. Mantua-Venice, [1694-1695]. Among the earliest commentaries on the Haggadah ever printed. Ownership signatures on title page, the erased signature is of Rabbi Avraham Chai Mutsafi.
It is noted on the title page that the book was printed in Mantua, however, in the colophon at the end of the book it is printed: “Its completion… here in Venice… 1695”. The reason for this is that the last leaves, from leaf 41 on, were printed in Venice.
