The Chassid Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Zalmansohn (Otzar HaRabbanim 12495), Av Beit Din of Velizh. Son-in-law of the Tzemach Tzedek and Rosh Yeshiva of the first yeshiva established by the Tzemach Tzedek in Lubavitch together with his son Rabbi Yisrael Noach who was the brother-in-law of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak from his wife’s side and from his sister’s side [Rabbi Levi Yitzchak marred Rebbetzin Dvorah Leah daughter of the Tzemach Tzedek in Elul of 1826, and Rabbi Yisrael Noach from Nizhen married Rebbetzin Nechama Dina sister of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak]. Various stamps of Rebbe David Bornstein, during his father's life. At the beginning of Tehilim his signature in pencil appears. Short glosses in his handwriting and various inscriptions throughout the leaves of Tehilim. On Leaf 44b, a different page was mistakenly printed and the Tehillim with the Rashi commentary was completed on an attached leaf [handwritten].
Rebbe David Bornstein was born in 1876 in Nashelsk to his father, author of Shem M'Shmuel, son of the Avnei Nezer of Sochachov. At the age of 20 he was appointed as Rabbi of Vishogrod, where he led a yeshiva for older boys. After World War I, he served as rabbi in Tomashov and Zgirezh. With the passing of his father in 1926, he was appointed Rebbe and became one of the most prominent rebbes in Poland. He died in the Warsaw Ghetto in Kislev, 1942. His wife, children and sons-in law were killed in the holocaust. His many books and writings on the Talmud were lost during the upheavals of those years.

The Holy Rebbe of Stefanesti, Rabbi Avraham Matityahu Friedman (1848-1933, Encyclopedia of Chassidut A, 131-132), a famous Zadik. Son of Rebbe Nachum of Stefanesti – son of Rabbi Israel of Ruzhin. At the age of twenty one he replaced his father and turned Stefanesti into a most influential Chassidic center. Served as Rebbe for seventy years. His grave was moved to Israel, to the section of Ruzhin Rebbes in "Nachlat Yitzchak" cemetery and is known to this date as a venue of salvation where many come to pray.

First book of the author Rabbi Avraham son of Rabbi Eliezer Lipman (passed away in 1831). Served in the rabbinate in various cities in Lithuania and Poland, composed many books.
Many stamps of the Admor Rabbi “Pinchas Rabinowitz, Kantikoziva” - Rabbi Pinchas Rabinowitz (1861-1926, Ozar Ha'Rabbanim 16957), was Admor in Kantikoziva (Charson region). He filled the position of his father, Rabbi Yitzchak Yo'el, who served as Admor in Linitz. He is described as a "tremendous genius in all facets of the Torah". His composition "Avodat Yitzchak" on the Torah remained handwritten. Among his sons: Rabbi Ya'akov Yisrael the "Admor from Charson", and Rabbi Menachem Nachum Rabinowitz Av Beit Din of Haifa. Among his sons-in-laws: the Admorim Moshe from Stolin and Rabbi Yitzchak from Skver. (For additional information related to him see: Encyclopedia of Chassidism, volume 3, page 539).

The book Ma'ayan HeChochmah, from the writings of Rabbi Yitzchak Luria [the Ari], together with the book "Shever Yosef", "Kabbalat Mahari Srug", and "Kitzur Olam Hatikun", Koretz, 1784.
Title page of the book displays two ink stamps of the rebbe, Rabbi Nachum Dober Friedman of Sadgora, ink stamp [cropped] in Hebrew and secular, with the likeness of a lion in the centre, "Nachum Dober Friedman", and the second ink stamp "minchat shai" (gift). Ex-libris on the front binding page of the binding: "Book Collection of Rabbi Nachum Dov Friedman of Sadgora".
Inside the book, a handwritten comment by the Rebbe denies tribute of the book "Shever Yosef" to Rabbi Yisrael Srug: "but it is accredited to Rabbi I. S. R. of Kandava…". In several places the Rebbe noted the name of the person who bequeathed him the gift together with his mother's name on the page margin, presumably to remember him when he studied from this book.
The rebbe, Rabbi Nachum Dober Friedman (died 1883, Otzar HaRabbanim 15912), son of the rebbe, Rabbi Shalom Yosef of Ruzhin and son-in-law of his uncle, the rebbe, Rabbi Ya'akov of Sadgora – both sons of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin. [Concerning his impressive library see "Kedem" Catalogue, No. 2, Item 249; No. 4, Items 306-307]. He had three ink stamps, the books he received from his father were stamped "my father's estate", those which he had bought himself "purchased with personal assets" and those he received from his followers or his uncle / father-in-law's followers displayed the stamp "gift", as in the book presented.

This section includes laws and manners of conduct from birth until death, methods of education, laws of Issur and Heiter [things which are prohibited and permitted] and more. Approbations [copied from the Berdichev edition] of Rabbi Mordechai from Chernobyl and Rabbi Yisrael from Ruzhin.
Signature of Rabbi “Moshe Yechiel HaLevi Epstein – The Rabbi from Ozherov” upon title page of book. Correction glosses in the rabbi’s holy handwriting throughout pages of the book. Upon page 78 the Ya'abetz writes “it is unfathomable to scorn the scholars of France for eating ox meat as stated in the letter” to which the Rabbi from Ozherov responds in handwriting: “It has turned out that the letter is a forgery”. The signature and glosses are in pencil.
Rabbi Moshe Yechiel Epstein – Rabbi of Ozherov (1890-1971, Encyclopedia of Chassidism, 3, page 351), a genius known for his diligence and a holy Chassid. Was rabbi of Ozherov from the year 1916 and began serving as Admor from the year 1918. Among the greatest Admorim in Poland, USA and Israel. Spent dozens of years writing the series of books Esh Dat and Be’er Moshe, however, did not publish them until he reached the age of sixty. Among the heads of Moetzet Gdolei HaTorah [Council of Torah Sages].

Upon page 78 the Ya'abetz writes “it is unfathomable to scorn the scholars of France for eating ox meat as stated in the letter” to which the Rabbi from Ozherov responds in handwriting: “It has turned out that the letter is a forgery”. The signature and glosses are in pencil.
Rabbi Moshe Yechiel Epstein – Rabbi of Ozherov (1890-1971, Encyclopedia of Chassidism, 3, page 351), a genius known for his diligence and a holy Chassid. Was rabbi of Ozherov from the year 1916 and began serving as Admor from the year 1918. Among the greatest Admorim in Poland, USA and Israel. Spent dozens of years writing the series of books Esh Dat and Be’er Moshe, however, did not publish them until he reached the age of sixty. Among the heads of Moetzet Gdolei HaTorah [Council of Torah Sages].

Rabbi Yehoshua Falk Auerbach (Otzar Ha-Rabbanim 7777) was the second son of Rabbi Yitzchak Izik Auerbach, author of the “Divrei Hayim” (passed away in 1846) and brother of the “Imrei Binah”. Served as the rabbi of Kletchow, passed away in 1878 (The sages of Poland, Part One, Page 97).
Leaf 211/2 has an illustrated map of Eretz Yisrael.

The Well-known Ga’on Rabbi Yitzchak Nunish Bilmonti (1710-1774), author of Sha’ar HaMelech on the Rambam, was among the great Torah scholars of Izmir. After the burning of the city in 1772 he embarked to Italy where he passed away in the city of Livorno. His book Sha’ar HaMelech prevails until this very day and is one of the fundamental books used to study the writings of the Rambam.
