Sefer Mitzraf Ha'Avodah, "an argument going on for seventy two years between two leading figures, one of the Chassidim group and the other of the group of Mitnagdim…", with a letter from Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi [concerning the dispute with The Vilna Gaon]. Koenigsberg, [1858].
As it is well known, the "argument" between the "Chassid" and the "Opponent" (Mitnaged), described in detail in this book, did not actually take place, and was written by a Chabad Chassid by the name of Ya'akov Kodoner to justify the Chassidic lifestyle.
38, [2] leaves. 18cm. [Ink-stamp and signature of "Avraham Pariser"]. Good condition. Stains. A few restored leaves. New binding.

"Jerusalem 1936" is printed on the title page, although only the three final pages were printed in Jerusalem (index, list of volunteers, and a page honoring the memory of those slain in the 1926 massacres). The remainder of the book was printed in Warsaw by Rabbi Ziegelman, who printed the eighth edition there, after he made an agreement with the Breslaver Chassidim in Jerusalem, printed some of the copies with the inscription "Jerusalem 1936".
4, 141, [1] leaf; [1], 51, [4], [3] leaves. Magnificent copy, 27.5 cm. Good condition, stained. Colored vorsatz. Original binding with leather spine, worn and slightly damaged.
