Brown case with yellow borders and silver thread embroidery, the name "Masud Butbul" and vegetal-pattern decorations. On verso a similar designed embroidery of – Star of David, two birds and the year 5712 [1952]. Interior of case padded with blue fabric.
24X30 cm. Good-fair condition, tears and loose threads in certain areas.

Mishmar HaAm, cloth arm ribbon. [Jerusalem, late 1940's].
Mishmar HaAm: unit of volunteers established in September 1947 in Jerusalem for maintenance of public order. The unit was composed of people over the age of enlistment and those who did not enlist for health reasons. During the blockage on Jerusalem Mishmar HaAm carried out an important role in distributing food, water and fuel and preserving the order in the city. Units of Mishmar HaAm operated in other cities as well.
Good condition. Few stains.

A candelabrum chiseled out of stone. Characteristic of works done in the Cyprus detention camps, [end of 1940's].
On the candelabrum the words "Tel Chai" are etched. Light etchings like a halo around candles. The back part of the stone is rough and not chiseled.

Cyprus, a brooch for clothing. Etching on coin (Folk handicraft).
The shape of Cyprus Island with a barbed wire fence and a watch tower. At the top the word "Cyprus" is etched and at the bottom another barbed wire fence, framed. On verso the original minting of the coin is recognizable.

"Israel", metal and glass plate. USA(?), after establishment of Israel.
A gilt State emblem within the Star of David adorns the center of the plate. Five of the star's triangles contain illustrations of Jerusalem (Tower of David, University and Western Wall), the sixth depicts Haifa and the Technion. The illustrations are encircled by strips adorned with butterfly wings. The upper section of the plate is made of painted glass, the background to the illustrations is a shiny-blue which changes color depending upon the angle of light.
Diameter: 29.5 cm. Good condition, slight defects, pieces of color have peeled from the glass.

In center illustration of Star of David composed of pink and purple triangles, in its center illustration of unidentified symbol. At its top illustration of a cross. Frame of enamel plate is black.
Apparently, the brooch was designed after the holocaust and is a reminder of the pink patch which was used to indicate homosexuals in the Nazi concentration camps.
Diameter: 2.5 cm. Good condition. Slightly faded colors.
