Letter with halachic answer by Rabbi Yehoshua Menachem Ehrenberg, to Rabbi Natan Zvi Friedman. Kislev 1962.
Rabbi Yehoshua Menachem Ehrenberg (1905-1976), gaon and righteous person, of the great rabbanim of the previous generation. Disciple of Rabbi Meir Arik. After the holocaust, he moved to Tel-Aviv where he was recognized as one of the great poskim and he was appointed to Head of The Avot Batei-Din (Ra'avad). He authored the responsa Dvar Yehoshua, 6 Parts.
Recipient of letter: The Gaon Rabbi Natan Zvi Friedman (1914-1993). Rabbi in Budapest, in the displaced persons camp in Föhrenwald and in Givat Shmuel. From 1953 he served in the rabbinate of Shikun Heh in Bnei Brak and he was one of the greatest rabbis in Bnei Brak and in Israel. He wrote the responsa Netzer Mata'ai and other books. He is renowned for authoring the encyclopedia Otzar HaRabbanim.

Thank you letters for books, New Year greetings, arrangement for visits and other matters. The letters express the great love and friendship between these two Mussar personalities from the previous generation.
Rabbi Shlomo Wolbe (1914-2005), was the founder and Mashgiach of the “Be’er Ya'akov” Yeshiva. He was a disciple of Rabbi Yerucham of Mir. He was a Mussar master. Wrote two volumes of “Alei Shur” and many other books.
The recipient of the letters: Rabbi Chaim Ephraim Zeichik (1906-1989), learned in Novardok yeshivot, was a Mussar master in Poland and America. Came to live in Israel in 1963. He was known for his Mussar lectures and articles. See also his handwritten notebooks, item no. 530.

An interesting letter from Rabbi Shalom Mordechai HaCohen Shvadron to Rabbi Ephraim Chaim Zeichik. Jerusalem, Elul 1976.
A thank you letter to Rabbi Chaim for publishing his book “Kol Tzofaich”. Written with the warm effusiveness characteristic to Rabbi Shalom Shvadron, opens with blessings for the upcoming New Year and continues with many blessings. At the end of the letter Reb Shalom asks to pray for a sick person.
The Maggid from Jerusalem Rabbi Shalom Mordechai Shvadron (1912-1998), was the son of Rabbi Yitzchak, Rabbi of Chazmer. He learned by the Mussar teachers Rabbi Eliyahu Dushnitzer, Rabbi Leib Chasman and Rabbi Eliyahu Lupian. A Torah genius and a famous preacher who stood at the head of the battles for education and religion in the State of Israel. He founded the “Pe’ilim” organization. On the back, a 20-lines handwritten letter by Rabbi Aryeh Levine in his pearl-like handwriting, to his relative, Prof. Ben Zion Verbin [famous pediatrician, father in law of Knesset member Yossef Sarid].
On the back of the envelope appears Rabbi Aryeh's address. The address of the receiver is handwritten on the envelope.
Rabbi Aryeh Levine (1885-1969), the famous "Zadik Yerushalmi", studied in Lithuanian yeshivot, made aliyah to Eretz Yisrael and occupied himself with teaching and charity, he turned into a legend while still alive and remained simple and modest, hiding his genius in Halachah and Kabalah.
