Responsa by the Gaon of Lublin, R. Shneur Zalman Fradkin, Rabbi of Polotsk and Lublin. Born in Liadi and named after the Alter Rebbe, from a young age Rabbi Fradkin was considered an "Iluyi"; he was among the most prominent disciples of the Tzemach Tzedek of Lubavitch, who once said of him he was "dependable". After the passing of the Tzemach Tzedek, Rabbi Fradkin became a disciple of the subsequent Chabad Rebbes – Rebbe Maharash and Rebbe Rashab.
