Collection of Checkbooks and Banknotes of Banks in Palestine/Israel
Nine checkbooks and three banknotes that were issued by various Israeli banks. Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem, [ca. 1920s to early 1950s].
The checkbooks and banknotes were issued by the banks: "Bank Kupat Ha'am", "Metropolin Bank", the "Anglo-Palestine Bank", the "Barclays Bank", "Bank HaOlim Eretz Yisrael – Polania", and "Bank America-Eretz Yisrael". Some of the checks and stubs were filled in by hand, are stamped and bear postage stamps.
Some checks remain in each checkbook.
Enclosed: a receipt issued by "Keren HaKoneh Ltd." (The Buyer's Fund) (not filled-in).
Size and condition vary. Good-fair overall condition.
