A booklet of prayers for the dedication of the great synagogue of Vienna, with a special prayer (in German) for the health of the emperor and his family.
The great synagogue of Vienna, Stadttempel, was built at the initiative of the philanthropist and community leader Michael Lazar Biederman and was dedicated on April 9, 1826. The ceremony was performed by Isaac Noah Mannheimer and the cantor and composer Salomon Sulzer sang the prayer songs. For the ceremony, the composer Franz Schubert, a resident of Vienna and a Sulzer's friend, sent a musical composition he had written for Psalms 92.
