A book reviewing the origin and genealogy of the Weil family of Kippenheim, Germany since the late 14th century. Contains four plates with family trees of the various branches of the family and several portraits of family members (reproductions of photographs and prints; tipped-in).
The Weil family was one of the oldest Jewish families in Germany. Among its forefathers are leading rabbis and adjudicators of Ashkenazic Jewry (the Mahari Weil, Rabbi Nathaniel Weil, Rabbi Yedidya Tia Weil and others).
