"Pioneering Album" – Postcard Booklet – Training of "HaChalutz" in Poland – Warsaw, 1928 – Moshe Vorobeichic

"Albom Chalutzi" [Pioneering Album], "for the tenth anniversary of HaChalutz movement, from the training of "HaChalutz" in Poland" – a postcard booklet. Warsaw: The Central Committee of "HaChalutz" in Poland, Adar 11, [1928].
14 postcards depicting the various training groups of "HaChalutz" throughout Poland and the field work and manual labor they were involved in in preparation for settlement in Palestine, including "Kibutz (group) of stonecutters in Klesowo", "Agricultural farm at Grochow","Carpenter workshops 'Arazia' in Osmiana", "Building kwutza (group) at Kobryn" and more. The postcards are captioned in Hebrew, Yiddish, English and Polish; some are also captioned in the plate. The last postcard in the series depicts a collection of newspapers that were published by "HaChalutz" during the years 1917-1927. The name of the photographer is not mentioned, yet presumably, most of the pictures were taken by photographer Moshe Vorobeichic (Raviv), who was responsible for the visual documentation of the activity of "HaChalutz" in Poland until his immigration to Palestine in 1934.
Postcards: 10.5X14.5 cm. Binder: 11X16.5 cm. Good condition. Stains on the cover. Blemishes and small tears along the edges of the cover.
