Olive Wood Letter Box – Photograph of the Temple Mount – Jerusalem, Late 19th Century
A letter box made of olive wood, decorated with a photograph of the Temple Mount. [Jerusalem, late 19th century].
Olive wood; wood inlay; printing.
An oblique box, divided into three compartments. Mounted on the inside of the lid is a photograph of the Dome of the Rock and its surrounding square. In the center of the lid, the inscription "Jerusalem" was printed and its margins are decorated with diagonal wool inlay.
The box comes with a key, however its lock is damaged.
14.5X13.5X28cm. Good condition. Blemishes and minor fractures.
