Yiddish translation of the rhymed children's book which was published by Korney Chukovsky in 1929, with illustrations.
The book, which became one of the greatest classics of Russian children's literature, describes the adventures of the physician who travelled to Africa to treat the sick forest animals.
The first Hebrew adaptation of the story was done by Nathan Alterman.
16 pp, 19 cm. Good overall condition. Creases and tears along the edges of several leaves. Stamp on the title page. Stains and small tears to the cover. Tears along the spine (the cover is slightly loose).
