Two Pendants – "Arab Women's Association in Jerusalem" – Jerusalem, 1938
Two pendants (slightly different) issued by "Arab Women's Association in Jerusalem" (possibly the "Arab Women's Association" founded in 1929). Jerusalem, 1938.
1. Obverse: two medallions with the Dome of the Rock and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Above them appears the year 1938 and beneath them the legend "50 Mil charity for orphans" (Arabic). Reverse: the legend "Arab Women's Association in Jerusalem" (Arabic).
Diameter: 27 mm. Suspension loop.
2. Obverse: Two medallions with the Dome of the Rock and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Above them appears the year 1938 and beneath them appears the legend "Save the Orphans" (Arabic). Reverse: The legend "Arab Women's Association in Jerusalem" (Arabic).
Diameter: 28 mm. Slight defects. Suspension loop (not pierced).
