E.M. Lilien – "Jerusalem" – Three Portfolios with Prints – Berlin-Vienna, 1921

Three parts (total of 36 prints): Die Heilige Stadt [The Holy City]; Das Alte Land [The Old Land]; Der Same Jakobs [The Seed of Jacob]. Berlin-Vienna: Benjamin Harz, 1921. German and some Hebrew.
Three Portfolios containing 36 prints (twelve prints in each portfolio), after etchings by Ephraim Moses Lilien. Each print is titled in Hebrew, and some are signed and titled in the plate. Each of the portfolios contains a booklet with the list of prints and an introduction by Eugen Hoeflich.
Total of 36 print-plates and three booklets, contained in three portfolios. Plates: 30X38 cm. Booklets: [8] pp, 37.5 cm. Portfolios: 32.5X40 cm. Good condition. Some creases. Minor blemishes to corners and margins of plates. One plate has tears at the margins reinforced on the back with adhesive tape. Some tissue guards are lacking or damaged. Blemishes and tears to portfolios (some repaired with adhesive tape). Portfolios' flaps are loose or partly detached. One flap is entirely detached.
