Dress Designed by Rozi Ben Yosef – "Rikma" and "Maskit" – Israel, 1970s

A dress by "Rikma" designed by Rozi Ben Yosef, [1970s].
A long dress with a square front, short butterfly sleeves, a tie-back sash and a short slit, with a zipper at the back. The dress is made of "Molidor" fabric with stripes in shades of orange, light blue and blue. The pattern on the fabric in front and the one used for the sash is geometric in shades of yellow, blue, red and green. The dress has labels of "Rikma" and "Maskit Haifa" fashion house.
Shlomo Hananel, Ben Yosef's father, founded in 1950 a small family textile workshop by the name of "Rikma". During the 1950s Rozi Ben Yosef worked with her father and in 1962 launched her first fashion collection. Dresses made by "Rikma" were sold also by "Maskit" fashion house.
