Collection of Red Cross Postal Items – Letter to a Jewish Soldier in Italy and Postcards to German Prisoners of War – 1942-1947

Two letters to Jewish recipients and four postcards to German POWs, sent under the patronage of the Red Cross during WWII. Germany and other places, 1942-1947. German (one letter in English).
1-4. Four postcards of the Red Cross, printed and filled in by hand, sent to German soldiers held prisoners by the Russians. Three were sent to a soldier named Johannes Guttman and one to Edmund Orth, from various cities in Germany. 1946-1947. The postcards vary one from another.
5. Letter dated July 17, 1945, typewritten on an official Red Cross form, sent to a Jewish soldier serving in the British Shipping Division stationed in Italy, by Red Cross representatives, notifying the soldier of the dismantling of the Theresienstadt concentration camp, in which the soldier's mother was interned. English.
Size and condition vary. Overall good condition.
