Collection of Photographs – S.Y. Agnon at the Nobel Prize Ceremony and Visiting England – Stockholm and London, 1966
Fifteen photos of the ceremony at which the author S.Y. Agnon and the poetess Nelly Sachs were awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. Also included in the collection are photos of Agnon's visit to London after receiving the award. [Stockholm and London, December 1966].
15 large high-quality black & white photographs: photos from the ceremony at which the Nobel Prize was awarded, of the press conference, of Agnon's visit to London (one shows him next to R. Yisrael Brody), and more.
Most of the photos are ink-stamped on verso: "Repoortagebild… Stockholm" and with the stamps of the photographer Sydney Harris. Some bear handwritten descriptions and dates on verso. One photo (portrait of Agnon) is dated on verso 1967.
Total of 15 photos. Size varies. Average size: 20X25 cm. Overall good condition. Stains and slight defects.
Enclosed are four newspaper clippings and leaves with pictures.
