Collection of Photographs – Jewish Soldiers – World War I

68 photographs (family photographs, studio photographs and open-air photographs) documenting soldiers. Most photographs are from Europe, World War I period (1914-1918) and around this period (some are later).
A collection of photographs portraying soldiers in uniform, in different circumstances – in the field, with their military units, with their families, in hospital, in festive occasions and more.
Most photographs are not titled but were collected in Palestine from the collections of Jewish families. Most photographs are divided on the back for use as a postcard. Some bear letters, stamps, postal ink-stamps or various inscriptions.
Average size: 9X14 cm (some are smaller). Fair-good overall condition.
