Letter in the Name of the Chakal Yitzchak of Sphinka
Official postcard by the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Weiss of Sphinka, written by his shamash, Rabbi Alter Zvi Kleinman, to the Chassid Rabbi Ya'akov ben Yenta. Selish, 1943.
Confirmation of receiving a letter with redemption money that reached "the Admor shlita and he prays for him that Hashem should help him and save him…".
The Admor of Sphinka, Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Weiss (1875-1944, Encyclopedia of Chassidut pages 379-380). The only son of the initiator of the Sphinka lineage, the Admor Yoseph Meir. During World War I, he moved to Munkatch and from there to Selish that became the new center of Sphinka Chassidut. He died in the holocaust with most of his family. His book Chakal Yitzchak miraculously survived and was printed.
