Letter of Recommendation by Rabbi Yissachar Weingot Av-Beit-Din Czestochowa

Letter of recommendation granted to a disciple returning home, by the Ga'on Rabbi Yissachar of Czestochowa. Tevet 1842.
In the letter, handed to one of his disciples of Plonsk, who was about to return home, Rabbi Yissachar recommends any assistance and support to enable the disciple to return home.
Rabbi Yissachar Weingot Av-Beit-Din Czestochowa (1789-1852), visited the Maggid of Kuznitz at the age of 12 and the latter after discussing with him a sophisticated topic advised his father to send him to study with Rabbi Chaim Averbuch (author of "Divrei Mishpat"). A leading Polish rabbi. Served as rabbi in: Sampolna, Plonsk, Kowal, Strikov and Czestochowa. Author of "Pitchei She'arim" and "Sha'ar Ha'Lakutot". Many of his descendants served as rabbis in Poland.
Approx. 20 cm. Good condition, ink somewhat faded, folding marks and some discoloration of paper.
