The Jewish communities of Georgia lived a dynamic Jewish life even during the period when all religious life was suppressed by the Bolshevists throughout the Soviet Union, the Bolshevist aggressiveness was no match for the honesty and self-sacrifice of Georgian Jewry, who succeeded in keeping their synagogues open and maintaining a Torah-true lifestyle. This document for the sale of Chametz is from that period.
