Photo Album - British Soldier in Palestine, Late 1940s
Photo album belonging to a British Soldier who served in Palestine, 1946-1948 (most photographs are from the years 1946-1947).
Album with about 95 photographs, titled and dated by hand (English), among them photographs of "Allenby Camp", the Old City and its sites, a tents-camp in Tel Litvinsky (present day Ramat-Gan), Lebanon-Israel border, artillery training of the British Army, British Operations Room in King David Hotel, "Rex" Cinema after Etzel attack, and more. Several photographs are from Port Said, Gibraltar, Malta, and other places. Several photographs are titled by hand on verso (English).
Total of about 95 photographs. Photographs: approx. 5.5X6 - 6.5X11 cm. Album: approx. 19X12 cm. Good condition. Slight defects to binding of album.
