Letter from Rabbi Shalom Shvadron to Rabbi Chaim Zeichik
An interesting letter from Rabbi Shalom Mordechai HaCohen Shvadron to Rabbi Ephraim Chaim Zeichik. Jerusalem, Elul 1976.
A thank you letter to Rabbi Chaim for publishing his book “Kol Tzofaich”. Written with the warm effusiveness characteristic to Rabbi Shalom Shvadron, opens with blessings for the upcoming New Year and continues with many blessings. At the end of the letter Reb Shalom asks to pray for a sick person.
The Maggid from Jerusalem Rabbi Shalom Mordechai Shvadron (1912-1998), was the son of Rabbi Yitzchak, Rabbi of Chazmer. He learned by the Mussar teachers Rabbi Eliyahu Dushnitzer, Rabbi Leib Chasman and Rabbi Eliyahu Lupian. A Torah genius and a famous preacher who stood at the head of the battles for education and religion in the State of Israel. He founded the “Pe’ilim” organization. He published tens of books by his grandfather, the Maharsham from Berzen and the books of his teachers “Or Yahel” and “Lev Eliyahu”. His talks and life-story have been written about in many books.
