A book about the crusades in Palestine by the English historian Thomas Fuller. The book includes a map of Palestine (folding plate) and an illustrated title page - engravings by William Marshall. A leaf with a rhymed poem is bound at the beginning of the book, titled "A Declaration of the Frontispiece". Pen inscription on the second title page "Viscounter Kingsborough".
[9] leaves, 286, [2] blank pages, [28] pp + [1] engraved plate (map), 29 cm. Good overall condition. Foxing. Two tears at margins of map, repaired with adhesive tape. Contemporary leather binding, detached and defected, no spine. Bookplate on inner side of front binding. Front endpapers and first leaf are detached.
