Letter of Protest Handwritten and Signed by the "Steipler" and Other Rabbis
Letter of prohibition and protest against the weekly paper "Tzofar", handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yisrael Kanievsky and rabbis of Bnei Brak, Rabbi El'azar Menachem Man Shach, Rabbi Yechiel Michal Feinsten, Rabbi Shmuel HaLevi Vozner and Rabbi Nissim Karelitz. 1979.
The weekly paper "Tzofar" published in Jerusalem, arose at the time many scandals when publishing gossip, part of which was true. Following this proclamation of protest the editor escaped to the United States, where he continued his journalistic work, issuing a new paper where he published gossip about the hidden and the seen, true and false stories about the Rebbes' families and courts.
