Rabbi Shimon Englander (1874-1950) was a Ga’on, Hassid and Kabbalist. Most of his lifetime he was a Zadik Nistar [hidden righteous person], he resided in Neimarkatt (located at the border of Galicia and Hungary). In approximately the year 1933 he immigrated to Haifa, and founded the Ateret Zkenim Institute for support of the elderly residents of the city. In the year 1950 he printed the Kabbalistic-Hassidic book Brit Kehunat Olam with his interpretation Sha’ar Shimon in which his vast knowledge of the true wisdom is apparent. During the process of the printing of the book the author died.
