Coin from Lodz Ghetto, 1943
Aluminum coin in denomination of 5 Mark minted by the Judenrat for the inmates of the Lodz Ghetto. Poland 1943.
The coin is made of aluminum. Obverse: 5 Mark, legend widthwise "Ordnung Uber", surround by the legend "Der Aelteste der Juden in Litzmannstadt". Reverse: relief of a Star of David, the word "Ghetto" and the year 1943.
Diameter 22 mm.
