Anti-Semitic Game – Circumcision – United States, 1940s

An anti-Semitic game mocking circumcision. The game is a version of the magic game "The Bull Fighter", which creates an illusion that the sword goes through the bull's neck without decapitating it. This is a non-commercial version of the game: the drawing in the background was replaced by a drawing of a baby and a stereotypical rabbi standing over the baby to circumcise him. Inserted in the original box which was also altered, and a label with an identical illustration was mounted on it. Franco-American Novelty co., USA, [1940s?].
Diameter 5.5 cm. Good condition. Background illustration is stained. Cardboard box is worn and the flap is detached.
