Ashkenaz version Machzor for the whole year. [Frankfurt Am Main?], [c. 1720].
Machzor for Rosh Ha’Shana, Yom Kippur, Succot, Pesach and Shavuot, as customary in the Frankfurt congregation. The word “Amsterdam” on the title page of the Machzor is raised.
“And we have made sure to print the Vidui [confession] of Yom Kippur in its proper version… which has not been properly printed anywhere including Amsterdam”. Early edition of a Machzor in the unique version of the Frankfurt congregation.
87, 86-99, 80-177, 175-179, 90-156, 156-211 leaves, 14cm. Good condition. Stains. Restored tears on first leaves. Fine original leather binding.
