Collection of Postcards and Photographs - Train in Palestine

About 30 postcards and 25 photographs recording the operation of the train in Palestine late in the 19th century and during the first decades of the 20th century.
Photographs and postcards depicting railway stations in Haifa, Jerusalem, Ramla and Jaffa; the train going from Jaffa to Jerusalem, train in Syria, the engine and cars during travel and during maintenance, a train accident, and more. Some items document the Ottoma military train, some document the British Military Palestinian Train (PMR) during World War I and some document the Palestine Railways during the British Mandate.
Enclosed is a single leaf with a printed photograph of the Mandate train engine car, published as a supplement to The Locomotive (England, April 1922). Some postcards are undivided.
Size and condition vary. Postcards: 9X14 cm, overall good condition. Photographs: approx. 5.5X8 cm to 9X14 cm. Overall fair condition (some photographs with tears, stains and creases).
