Invitation to Purim festivities of the "Ohel Theater" held in 1935 in the "Levant Fair" compound. Linoleum print in red and green. The illustration depicts Queen Esther riding on the Flying Camel (symbol of the "Levant Fair").
"Ohel" theater organized Purim balls since 1929 and during the 1930s. For the event in 1935 the large hall of the "Totzeret HaAretz" pavilion in the "Levant Fair" was decorated by the best painters of the period, among them Avigdor Stematsky and Aryeh Elhanani.
63.5X94.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Folding marks and creases. Stains. Tears at margins and folding marks (some open tears). Trimmed margins.
