Volume of writings by Josephus Flavius: "Antiquities of the Jews", "The Jewish War" and "Against Apion" ("Of the Antiquity of the Jews"). The volume also includes Erasmus of Rotterdam's translation of "4 Maccabees", a book once attributed to Flavius.
The endpapers are handwritten leaves apparently taken from a Latin Bible of the fifteenth or early sixteenth century.
[29], 347 pp. First leaf missing (title page). 32 cm. Good condition. Stains and dampstains. Worming to some leaves. Ancient binding, damaged (with traces of buckles). Handwritten notes, in ink, on the margins of some of the pages (corrections and comments).
