Three Belts - Morocco, Asia and Europe / Bridal Belt
1. Belt. Morocco, [ca. 1920s]. Silver (marked), inlaid with three gemstones.
Made up of twenty-three links soldered in vegetal motifs. Length: 94 cm. Good condition. Some of the joints between the links are not original.
2. Belt. Caucasus region, Southwest Asia, [early 20th century]. Leather and silver-plated brass in Niello, inlaid with a gemstone. Brass sheet.
Made up of twenty-six links decorated with vegetal and geometric motifs. Length: 80 cm. Fair-good condition. A number of decorations are damaged or missing. Defects and rust to brass plating on the back of the links. Wear to leather strap.
3. Bridal belt. [Europe, probably Germany, 19th century?]. Cast silver (marked).
Made up of twenty-seven links. Buckle decorated with a hand holding a bouquet of flowers. Belts of this kind were common among German Jews as wedding gifts from the groom to the bride and from the bride to the groom. Length: 82 cm. Good condition.
