Memorial Lamp Made of Stone - Commemorating the Jews of Riga who Perished in the Holocaust
Stone memorial lamp. [Made by detainees at the Cyprus internment camps?, second half of the 1940s].
Square stone plaque with rounded bottom corners and two oil fonts extending forward from its bottom part. Hebrew inscription etched on a black background: "In memory of the Riga fallen, destroyed by the enemies of our people", with a Star of David painted white.
9.5X10.5 cm, maximum thickness: 4.5 cm. Attached with screws to wooden plaque 13X17 cm. Good overall condition. Slight damage.
