Quality Photographs – American Colony
33 quality photographs by the photographer Arik Matson, The Matson Photo Service, "American Colony", Jerusalem, 1930's.
Most of the photographs present the city of Jerusalem and various sites in the city, others are from different places in the country, amongst them the Sea of Galilee and Mount Hermon, set in an olive-wood album by "Bezalel Jerusalem" with the Tower of David on the cover. The Matson's served as the photographers of the American Colony in 1934 and since then started to sign their photographs with this stamp.
Album 23.5 X 17 cm, cover is torn. Photographs are 17 X 11 cm, good condition, some detached.
