155 plates with high-quality prints of photographs taken by Kahn during his mission to Palestine in 1912, on behalf of the newspaper and in collaboration with the JNF.
Originally the series was printed and arranged in three portfolios ("From Jaffa to Jerusalem", "From Jerusalem to Haifa", "The Galilee") and included 180 plates. Seen here are plates from all three portfolios, and text plates: a title page, an introductory page, and 11 plates with information on the JNF and on the photographed sites (in German). Includes the original covers of portfolios 2 and 3.
Photographs approx. 8.5X11.5 cm, printed on 16.5X20 cm plates. Foxing. Pen inscriptions on some of the plates. Only the front and back cardboard plates (damaged) are left from the original portfolios.
