Prayer for the State of Israel, handwritten on a lined sheet of paper mounted on cardboard. [Unknown location, 1948]. Hebrew.
A prayer handwritten in a stylized script, punctuated and vowelized, in honor of the establishment of the State of Israel. Three stanzas in a poetic language, which constitute three passages of prayer: prayer for the victory of Israel in the Independence War, prayer for the State's leaders and prayer for the military forces. Correction and replacement of one word with a thin line on the prayer sheet (the word "Chief" is crossed off and replaced by the word "President").
18X18.5 cm. Fair condition. Stains and creases. Folding marks. Small tear at bottom right corner.
