Bags for Tallit or for Tefillin
Two bags for Tallit or Tefillin.
Lace and silver and gold threads embroidery.
The bags are made of fabric covered with one layer or more of lace embroidered with silver and gold threads. A Star of David is embroidered in the center of the bags, surrounded by vegetal and geometric patterns. The word "zion" appears in the center of one bag.
1. [Persia, first half of 20th century]. 36.5X26.5 cm. Fair condition. Wear, unraveling and stains. Late amendments.
2. [Tunisia? First half of 20th century]. 31.5X24.5 cm. Poor-fair condition. Tears revealing layers of lace, late amendments.
