Esther Scroll on Parchment – Silver Case
Esther Scroll on parchment. Miniature script. [19th century]. “HaMelech” scroll [most columns begin with the word “HaMelech”]. Silver filigree case and handle. A crown decorates the top of the case. The scroll and silver case are contained in a leather case, embossed “gift to the groom Mordechai Herdan J.M.H 1847”. Height of parchment: 9.5 cm. 34 lines per column. Height of case: 22 cm. Scroll in good condition. Silver case broken and damaged. Damages to leather case.
