Letter by the Maharitz Dushinsky and Badatz Rabbis – Opposing Joining the Religious Council of the Jewish National Council, Jerusalem 1937
Letter from the "City Committee of the Ashkenazi Community", to the management of the Chabad Kollel in Jerusalem, opposing Joining the Religious Council of the Jewish National Council. Signed by the Chairman, Rabbi "Moshe Leib Bernstein". At the end of the letter is a letter of endorsement by Badatz rabbis, the Ga'avad of the Eda HaCharedit Rabbi Yosef Zvi Dushinsky and the Dayanim of the Batei Din of the Perushim and the Chassidim: Rabbi Pinchas Epstein, Rabbi Yisrael Ze'ev Mintzberg, Rabbi David Jungreiss, Rabbi Yeruchan Fishel Bernstein and Rabbi Shmuel Pesach Halprin. Jerusalem, Tevet 1937. This letter was later published in the Kol Yisrael newspaper, Iyar 1937, and appears in the pamphlet Al Chomotayich Yerushalayim (Jerusalem, 1980, pp. 7-8). [2] pages.
