Shell Case – Etched Decorations – "Bezalel"

Decorated shell case, manufactured by "Bezalel". Jerusalem, [ca. 1916].
Etched brass. Marked: "Bezalel".
Upper band: "Yerushalem" (Hebrew) surrounded by fig leaves, grapes, pomegranates, palm tree branches and more (Seven Species). Center: decorated Star of David, in a stylized frame. In its center the spies carrying a cluster of grapes, inscribed "two carried the pole" (Hebrew) and "Bezalel". Lower band: The Seven Species. Height: 27.5 cm. Good condition.
