Drafting Women to the British Army – Poster Designed by Shamir Brothers
"Join us dear sister!" (Hebrew), a poster calling women to enlist to the Auxiliary Territorial Services (ATS) and the Women Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF). Linol: Zvi Bergman, Rohold Printing Press, Tel-Aviv. [1940s]. Design: Shamir Brothers.
A nice, colorful, illustration, depicting three women-soldiers. Inscription: "Register to ATS, WAAF, in recruitment offices of the Jewish Agency" (Hebrew). Approx. 35.5X49.5 cm. Good condition. Horizontal folding mark and creases. Tears at margins. Stains. Upper and lower margins cut on text border.
