The report presented, composed right after the war, aided Kastner's acquittal after a court decision in 1955 stating that "Kastner sold his soul to the devil" and collaborated with the Nazis. Kastner was assassinated in Tel-Aviv on March 1957. The report was translated to Hebrew and published in the early 1980s by the "Society for Commemoration of Israel Kastner".
