Issues of the illustrated supplement to the Parisian daily, "Le Petit Journal", which was one of the most extreme opponents to Alfred Dreyfus. On the first and last page of each journal, illustrations in color depicting the Dreyfus Affair and the Zola Affair: Dryefus in a military court; the military ceremony when his ranks were ripped off his uniform; Dreyfus in jail, a guard serving him food; trial in Rennes; military prison in the city of Rennes; Zola Affair - Court; departure of Emil Zola; and more. Most of the illustrations are by the French illustrator and caricaturist Henri Meyer.
In issue no. 217 appears an illustration which more than others is identified with the Dreyfus Affair (by the illustrator Meyer) -”Traitor: ripping off the ranks of Alfred Dreyfus”.
Presented are issues number: 143, 214, 217, 218, 370, 372, 379, 381, 383, 387, 400, 402, 403, 451, 457, 460. 4 leaves per issue, ca. 43 cm. Condition varies. Minor stains and tears, professionally restored tears to several issues.
