Second booklet of the Almanac "Chaliastre", published in Paris. With reproductions of works by Marc Chagall, who also designed the cover. On the cover (and on p. 74) Chagall presented the occupation of Paris by a "gang" of Jewish authors and poets: climbing the Eifel Tower, one of them holding a flag with the inscription "Paris" and another carries to the top of the tower scrolls resembling Torah scrolls, with the inscription "Chaliastre". Printed in 1000 copies. A short dedication by Peretz Markish on the title page (Paris, 1924). 84 pp + [4] plates, 23.5 cm. Good condition. Foxing. Slightly chopped margins on several leaves. Tears and damages to cover.
