Collection of lithographs woodcuts and engravings from books, depicting biblical scenes, Jewish customs, views and sites in Eretz Israel and the vicinity, and more. [17th - 19th centuries].
Among them: • Leaves from the book "Figures des Histoires de la Saincte Bible" (17th century) - fine woodcuts, including one which depicts the Prophet Jonah in Ninve. • Leaves from Bernard Picart's book about religious ceremonies and customs of people around the world - engravings depicting Jewish customs: Yom Kippur, wedding, Simhat Torah, circumcision, and more. • Lithographs - views and sites in Eretz Israel and the vicinity (most of them b/w): Yehoshafat Valley, Tiberias, Jordan river, Mount Tabor, Beth Lehem, Jerusalem, Damascus, and more. Lot of about 60 leaves (most of them lithographs; the rest are engravings and woodcuts). Sizes and conditions vary. Stains and tears. Some are pasted to paper leaves.
