Manuscript – Kol Nidrei and Seder HaAvodah / Leaves from a Synagogue – Padua, 19th Century

* Manuscript, a version of Kol Nidrei and sections from the Yom Kippur prayers. [Padua, Italy. First half of 19th century].
Manuscript for a Sheliach Tzibbur in a long narrow format. Square Italian writing, with vowels (Nikud).
Incomplete, possibly not completed by the scribe. Includes part of the Aleinu prayer (with the section Ata Hareta which according to the tradition of the Ba'al Rokeach the Sheliach Tzibbur recites while the congregation prostrates); the full version of Kol Nidrei, Seder Ha'Avodah is missing the beginning.
Height: 37 cm. Width: 19.5 cm. Good condition, detached leaves. Spotting. Detached binding.
* Enclosed with the manuscript are several handwritten leaves from a synagogue (in Italian). Among them is a detailed list (4 pages, Hebrew and Italian), of the way to use the ceremonial accessories donated to the synagogue on Shabbat and Festivals. The list includes some interesting data regarding the community's ceremonial objects (such as Torah mantles and crowns, curtains for the Ark, etc.). Among the Festivals mentioned in this list are two Purim Sheni festivals. One is Purim D'Buda, which was celebrated in Italy following the salvation of the Jews during the Austro-Hungary war against the Turks. The second is Purim of Fire which is celebrated on the 11th of Sivan in the Padua community, commemorating its salvation from the fire which broke out in 1795.
